Hello. I am needing some suggestions as to the most effecient methods of obtaining safe and reasonably inexpense housing for assignment in EL PASO, TX. I have tried Craigs List and Roommates.com. I sent several E-mails and left phone messages and not 1 response. Furnished is a must. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

How inexpensive is inexpensive. El Paso has much lower rental rates than much of the country. If apartments are within your budget, try apartments.com and for rent.com, etc. Just search under apts. The ecomony has
been hit hard there, too, so there are likely "deals" as far as first month's rent with a lease. As far as furniture,
most apt. complexes have a system for leasing a furnished apt. Or, if you need minimal furniture-head to IKEA or hit a furniture store sale and just buy some...often cheaper than renting. Especially since the recession hit and no one is buying furniture. There are PLENTY of nice apt. complexes in El Paso.

local paper, definitely. Other than that, cruise the neighborhoods (I'm about to do that in PA if I get accepted)

Given that this post is in the agency forum, I am wondering why the travel nursing agency is not setting you up with furnished housing?
