The nursing school Im in places a big emphasis on holistic nursing, treating the whole pt. I personnally like the philosifies they teach and will practice this way when I graduate. How do you all feel about this????!

I think if you are in a school that emphasizes any particular philosophy you should probably learn the correct spelling of "philosophies"
But seriously, that philosophy is sound; you have to treat the "whole patient", not just the "patient's hole". Your school should use this as their slogan!
I'll be here all week, don't forget to tip your waitresses...

Nursing in and of itself is holistic. Every school teaches this way. As far as I know, MD's are the only HCP that deal with patients on a systems basis. DO's are physicians that take a holistic approach too.
