Hinds ADN program

Hi everyone! I am new to this. I applied to the ADN program at Hinds for the fall on the Allied campus. I was wondering if anyone else has applied and if they have received anything in the mail yet. Also is there anyone on here who went to Hinds. What is the schedule like? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.

Hi! I am a first semester ADN student at the Allied Health Center. When I applied for entrance into the program for the Spring, the deadline was September 30 and I got my acceptance letter during November. So, roughly it took a month and a half. I would think you would know something by the first of May.

The schedule is not too bad. For first and second semesters, lecture is Monday and Tuesday, usually from 8-12. On Wednesday and Thursday, learning lab is from 8-3 most of the time. Friday's change, sometimes 8-12 or 8-3...just depends on what's going on. Clinicals will be on Wednesday and Thursday from about 6:45 - 1:15. Third and fourth semester, is typically the same, except the schedule swaps days.

Hinds is not as bad as most people say. As long as you study the outlines, read the chapters and do your assignments, you should not have any problems. Some instructors are more helpful than others, but for the most part they are pretty nice.

Good luck!
