Hi, my name is Maria and I'll be graduating May 28 from an Associate degree program. I'm so excited!! I was given an assignment by my instructor to interview a RN who has been practicing for 8 years and a RN who has been practicing for 20 years. Could someone please answer these questions who meets these two requirements?
#1. What is the hardest part of your job?
#2. What is the easiest part of your job?
#3. What was the one most important thing you learned in nursing school?
#4. What advice would you give a new RN graduate?
Thank you for any help you can give me.
Please help, I have to hand this in on March 5th. Any one out there that could help it would be greatly appreciated.

1. Learning to prioritize patient care. Jumping from 1 or 2 patients to 5 or 6 can be quite a leap. And I still can not delegate. I used to be a tech, and I know how busy it is, and I just can't get myself to ask them to help me.
2. Talking to patients. I guess its a southern thing, but I can talk to anyone about anything. And pts can get lonely, and they love for someone to just stand around and chit chat with them. Sometimes.
3. Assessment skills. Learned em in school, still perfecting them.
4. Make sure you have a orientator that you feel comfortable with. Never be afraid to ask questions. Don't be scared to admit when you are in over your head.
