hey there everybody, i just took the Hesi at Arapahoe community college. and wanted to give an overview. before i took this i read alot of comments on here that really helped. I used the hesi assesment study guide and it helped alot with everything except biology. most of the questions i got were not in the book. i have to retake because i scored in the 70s. ?. science sections were 30 questions, multiple choice. math, reading, vocab 55 questions , multple choice.
**Math- know ratios, how to convert fractions.
**grammar and vocab- pretty simple. if you study from the study guide youll be good.
**Anatomy and physiology- know white blood cells, meiosis vs mitosis. i would use another form of studying since most of the stuff on the book were not on the test. use a book from previous biology class as well.
**Chemistry-General stuff. not detailed. i have never taken a chemistry class and i did pretty good on it studying from the study guide.
overall the study guide worked and helped. but i would reccomend other forms of studying besides that for the science sections.
