I hope I'm able to return someday, and wish you the very best as you enter this field!LOL...No, no! This school nurse left awhile ago! I feel pretty good about the interview. (Actually I feel GREAT!!!) LOL I think they were shocked to see that I had complied a list of things that we can do to get more involed with the students. I just really hope it all works out. The only thing that scares me is that I have no school nursing experience. I hope they don't use that against me. This job has two joys of my life...children and my passion for nursing! I am a quick learner and I LOVE to research. I hope I got through to them. I guess we will see and I will keep you all posted! Have a good day! ~Toodles~:anpom:

I interview next week for a school nurse position at a junior high school! I'm very nervous as I've never worked pedi! I know for sure there are atleast 2 other candidates interviewing for the position.....Any pointers on how I may stand out in the crowd????
blackscrubs 58 Posts Jul 13, 2010 OK!!!! I am being recommended to the school board tomorrow for hire!!!! YES!!! I am super excited! Pointers...hmmm...I just really pushed that I am wanted the job for the kids, not the schedule. That school nursing combines two of my loves which is children and my passion for nursing. Think of some things that you can bring to the school other than passing meds and immunization charts! You will do great! Good Luck!!!!
