:-) Help! Where will I apply for NCLEX?

Hi everyone :-) I'm new to this thread and I would like to ask for your help. I hope that even if this may have been discussed before, someone will share with me their advice. I graduated last march and am now in the process of applying for the NCLEX exam. I am choosing among the 21 non-CGFNS states and have narrowed down to the following: arizona, california, illinois, ohio, oregon. thing is, apart from california, ive never been to the other states. i have no idea how living there is. any insights about how life is in AZ, IL, OH, and OR? like the weather, job opportunities, potentials for growth, etc...?

Thread moved to the International Forum since it is specific to working in the US. Please take the time to do some reading on the forums here. Especially the Primer at the top of that forum. You are not applying to take the NCLEX exam, impossible to do. You will be applying for licensure as an RN to a specific state. You must be given permission by that Board of Nursing to be able to sit for the exam.

Not sure where you are getting your list from, it is definitely old. There are only about five states that still require the CGFNS exam. Many are going to require the CES, which is a credentials evaluation before you can even get your application looked at.

And what you are asking specifically has been discussed many times in the past. Please just do a search.
