[help/ vent!] Dissertation Theme help!

First of all, Sorry for my bad English :)

So I´m working on my post-graduate certificate in neonatal nursing. No need to say I love it!

Bad news is my postgrad program demands that, in order to get our diploma we need to write a research thesis

I had a good theme but a collegue heard me talking to a friend about it and simply stole it!!!!!! [ yeah, I still wanna kill him and yeah we cannot repeat themes in same classroom]

I was totally lost but life moves on and I still need to write. While doing some research, I liked some subjects but I simply don´t know which of those I wanna write about. I was wondering if someone could help me out .... please, por favor, bitte ?

1.Neonatal Thermoregulation and Nursing Care : Basically I´d explain neonatal thermoregulation and how we can help them out.

2. NIPS

3. Strategies to combate infections in NICU : Nurses´ importance

4. Killing your classmate who stole your thesis´ theme: Stress management for neonatal nurses

Okay, last one is just a lame joke.

I'd go with number 3 since this is going to be a very hot topic in the next few months. You can go to IHI.org and research different bundles that hospitals have implemented to try to eradicate hospital acquired infections, Ventilator acquired pneumomias, etc.

#3 would be my choice; especially since reading threads you see so many different policies/protocols that change weekly or daily. Since this is an issue that affects reimbursement, you may have hospital support. You could work collaboratively with infection control and come up with a great research project. Good luck!!
