To do this, In Kentucky there is a bill that needs EVERYONE'S support, it will end the requirement for NP's to have an agreement with a physician in order to prescribe NON SCHEDULED medications.. It DOES NOT affect the requirement for scheduled medications. If a NP cannot prescribe acute/maintenance medications, essentially they cannot practice, as most patients need some type of medication whether it be for hypertension/cholesterol/acute illnesses etc.
Please help Kentucky NP's by calling 1 800 372 7181 it only takes a couple of minutes to do sooo much good!!
Please call your legislater's and ask them to suppport House Bill 282!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This bill ends the requirement for Nurse Practitioners to have a collaborative agreement with physicians in order to prescribe NON CONTROLLED medications............. there is only a few days left to contact your representatives!!! (about 20 days) So please contact all of your friends/coworkers/NP's/nurses to start calling the Legislative Message Line it only takes approximately a minute and a half to make the call!!!
1 800 372 7181 Please stop and make the phone call and to email your friends to do the same!!!!! Again to support House Bill 282!!!!!!!! All Nurse Practitioners will appreciate your efforts!!!
