Help

I graduated May 8 of 2023, I had a contract with a hospital, I was hired but did my have my license to start working long story short, because I didn't get the license when I was hired the position was closed but they still had me waiting to be interviewed for another position they had me waiting for five months after I did four interviews with them and none hired me, finally they said I have to pay back the money even though I wasn't hired, so far I haven't received any documents from them to pay back the money I'm waiting for those documents to get an attorney, my main question is though can the hospital block my name from getting other hospital jobs???? Because I've been doing numerous applications and no hospital accepted any of my application, every single one didn't accept me. Please let me know, and if I'm hiring an attorney for this, what type of attorney should I speak with thanks
