Ok, I know you guys probably get these questions all the time BUT I gradated this pass year & did a semester in a community college but stoped because I moved to a different state. Now that I'm here I decided I just want to hurry up & get a career in nursing. So do you recommend a tech school (ex;itt tech , meric, ecpi etc.) Or should I just take the time & continue on in community college & go that route.?
I'm really confused as to which will benifit me the most & would really appreciate any kind of input especially ig you or anyone you know has been in this dilema..
How many of you nurses went the traditional college route or went to the nursing programs at a tech school.? & knowing what you know now which do you recommend.?
Please & thank you :)

If you have the time, take the BSN route through a state school or a private (accredited) university....all the rest Maric, ITT Tech etc seem to charge you a ton of cash for sub-par training and you receive credits that dont transfer to a state school if you want to further your education. For example I know a guy who just got a job at UEI (tech school here) teaching networking for computers and he is definitely not qualified for the job. Maric here in CA will cost you $45,000...not that everyone who goes there are bad nurses, but you want to set yourself up to give yourself the best advantage. The reason a lot of people go to these schools in CA, is because most schools have a 2 year or longer wait. Just my opinion only.
Good luck to ya!
