Help with studying in Nursing School!

Published

Hi everyone,

I was told that nursing school is really hard, where one would need 200 hours of study to be done in 2 days!!!! Wow!!!! Can anyone tell me of an effective way of handling that?

I wouldn't say 200 hours, but it will require a lot of study time--the ammount depends on how fast you retain it. The best tip I can give you is don't get behind. Once you are behind it is so hard to catch up. Stay ahead if at all possible, always read the material before class, and do the best you can. Remember C=RN!!! Before I started nursing school I never made a C on a test, now after I take some of these tests I'm praying to make C's.

Note cards are my God send. It gets tough, but you can do it.

You commit, you work your butt off and you let go of most vestiges of a social life, much of your family time and nearly all of your "me" time. Its hard work and long hours, no doubt about it.

There are lots of threads that address effective study habits and they are very helpful!
