Help please! What units are these?

I have been a lurker for a long time, but I am graduating in May and I am starting to apply for OB/Gyn nursing positions. I just can't figure out what units these are, and what exactly I would be doing there. :) I called HR, and the girl was incredibly rude and kept trying to transfer me to the different units. She did tell me though that I could apply for any RN I position that wasn't listed as an internship (L&D/NICU/etc). I asked her about Newborn Nursery and she said they don't hire new grads there. When I tried to clarify the difference between Rooming In and NBN, she repeated louder, "We don't hire new grads in the Newborn Nursery". Thanks lady.

The job postings are very vague, and are the same for all of the RN I jobs posted for any unit.

These were posted at Parkland in Dallas, TX if that helps!

Registered Nurse I-4 South Obstetrics

Registered Nurse I-4 North Rooming-In (I'm guessing couplet care?)

Registered Nurse I-OB/GYN (ICC) (It says something in this listing about it being Intermediate Care)

Thank you so much!

I would guess ICC is couplet care. So I would guess all of those jobs are couplet care/mother-baby. Perfectly suitable for a new grad. Good luck!

See if you can obtain the NM's name and email for the unit you wish to apply to, then send that person a direct email. Might be better than going through HR. Good luck :)
