Help with picking a school

Hello everyone!

Is anyone from Connecticut. I need advice on some schools. I'm getting ready to start taking my pre-req classes just Anatomy and physiology and chemistry. I need to know which community school is better Capital community college or Tunix community college? please tell me what you guys think about these two schools as far as teachers how dedicated and well rounded they are....or any other school that you guys might recommend.

I couldn't find any reviews online. O

Tunxis has a RN program? Capital has a lottery system to accept stuents, so you may end up on a waiting list for 1-2 years even if you are their best candidate. Three Rivers and Naugtuck Valley accept based on entrance exam, gpa, prereqs completed, etc. So if you are a good student you should get in. I ended up going to STCC in Springfield, MA since it is closest to me and it was fantastic. I am really glad I didnt' get into Capital that first year:)

The CT community colleges that offer nursing programs, including Capital, are all going to share the same requirements. You will have to fill out one application at the college that is your first choice. I believe 60% will be based on GPA and 40% will be lottery. Capital has provided the new requirements on their website. Good luck!

I graduated from Naugatuck Valley CC 2 years ago and their admission is based on gpa, and grades. They are very competetive. My best advice is do really well in anatomy and phs, math, chemistry. They are a great school. The instructors there are great. I have also heard good things about capital. But I am partial to Naugatuck! :)

I think capital would be better because you would be doing your nursing program there. I took all my science at capital and i had no problems.
