Help! I need case management advice!

Hello!!

I've been a nurse for about 5 years and have had expirence in a variety of areas. I currently have been offered a position with the health department working with high risk moms, going to their homes and helping them sign up for resources. Job is Monday-Friday, 8-5, 12 paid holidays a year, pension, and more money then I'm currently making. My concern is that the aresa of the country I live in has a very high crime rate, we are in the top 10 most dangerous cities in america. The manager told me that the people we serve typically are very greatful since we are providing resources and are no lt the cops or dcfs.

What do do you guys think?
