Help, I have to make a quick decision on which school!!!

If I was in this situation I would go to Lincoln Tech because it is already a guaranteed spot. That's funny what you said about your husband because I am in a similar situation with choosing schools and my husband is like whatever. Maybe your mom could lend you the $8000 still and just have $8000 in loans. It's definitely a risky choice so good luck on whatever decision you make.

I'm a risk-taker so I'm going to say go to the interview. You already have Lincoln in the bag. Yeah..you don't want to miss the first day of class...but if you get into BCIT (which sounds like you totally will), that won't even matter in the long-run. And if you don't get into BCIT, you missed one class..and you'll still be in a school.

Send an excuse for missing the first day of Lincoln and excel in that interview. Good luck!

I went about a mth ago and it was more of an orientation just paperwork and a few quick questions...sooooooo basically GO TO THE INTERVIEW and ur good to go...of course after u do the necessary paperwork that u will receive at the interview....Let me know what u decide!!! I am gonna be in the day program at the Westampton campus!!!

I thought that the postcard means you're pretty much in if you get all that stuff done, but I din't want to assume and then not be able to go to either school. I am hoping to go to the Westampton campus it's only 10 min. from home, but on the application I checked off both campuses to increase my chances of getting a spot. I was told a couple of spots opened up so if one of them is in Westampton I am really gonna try to get it! :)

Thast great that the campus is sooo close to u...its 40min from me (I live in De) so i guess i will have to wake alot earlier than u!! lol but let me know how everything goes!!!

PTYME did you get the call yet that they are cancelling the day classes this year because of the budget cuts? I got mine today and now don't know where to go unless I start the June class at Lincoln Tech, ughhhh this sucks.

No! I didnt receive that call but when i called yesterday they told me to look for something in the mail so maybe that is what she was talking about. Well at least u have a back up plan! Did she say that the class would resume next year?

It didn't sound like it because he said if you are still interested they are keeping the night class for 2011! They may have called me because I was supposed to go to an interview the next day and he said since we aren't having classes there is no point of you coming in for an interview.

Omg thats a mess... Well i'm going to start looking into different schools now. Hopefully you will be ok to start at Lincoln Tech in June!

Thanks but I've actually decided to take a 3 month multi skilled techinician program over the summer. It's only 3 days a week so I can still work or have time off to spend with my kids. I was really dissapointed when I found out about BCIT but the more I think about it, it may have been a blessing in disguise! I never really wanted to work in a ltc and that's mostly what lpn's do. I was just wanted to start my nursing career asap. But with the mst I can get a job in a hospital, starting at $14/hr not great but enough so I can finish up my pre reqs for my rn! Good luck to you on finding another program!
