Help with HESI

Hello this will be my first time taking the HESI. I plan to start preparing now and to take the test in November. If anybody could advise me a helpful book/study guide to purchase. Are you able to use a calculator? What to expect? Is the test timed? Please Help... thanks

    Get a review book, some schools recommend some. Apparently its a very very basic calculator, so learn to do math on your own. And lots or reviewing and use quizlet for flashcards and reviewing as well.

    I googled free hesi practice tests that seemed to help. Also if you have an iPhone there are free trial apps on there that will help you study. The test is timed I forget how long you have but I remember having enough time to go back and look over the questions. I didn't think the test was very difficult. I forget my score but it was pretty good. I got into my nursing school. And you can use a basic calculator (my testing center supplied paper, pencil, and the calculator). You also get your scores as soon as your done with the test. Good luck.
