What is the number they want you to pass? 850 or above is a pretty good standard. It is figured that passing HESI at 850 you are likely to pass the NCLEX but not 100% guaranteed. Study Saunders.. it works with HESI.. Recognize if you can't pass HESI you probably can't pass the boards so keep studying as ultimately you need to pass the boards
we have to make a 900 and above!! I honestly dont believe if I cant pass HESI, i cant pass boards because some of my colleagues did not pass HESI and they passed boards on the first try!!!! Thanks though i will use the saunders

There's also a HESI review book, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1416047751/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1/184-6676558-1511129?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_r=0YC61W0YEEM3NEJ0D360&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_i=0965667812. I haven't used it yet b/c I'm just starting, but you might want to give it a look.
Does your school offer any workshops?
no, we have asked them to give us a remedial course on hesi, but we have not gotten a response, so the answer is probably no!! we cant set the course up as students, it has to be done through the nursing program!! Thank u for the link

I agree that the HESI book is a good place to start - there are "HESI Hints" throughout the chapters that help you focus, as well as charts with the specific values that HESI uses as normal ranges. There's a Kaplan book, NCLEX-RN: Strategies for the Registered Nurse Licensing Exam, that I found helpful in learning how to breakdown questions and prioritize answers. For NCLEX questions, I like Saunders and Reviews & Rationales. Also, if you're stuck, remember ABCs, Maslow, and safety to help you narrow things down.
You should also be able to log onto your Evolve account and look at the report from your previous exams - the end shows you the type of question and subject of the ones you got wrong.
If your school doesn't offer a review, is there any way you could find a student who did well with HESI to tutor you? Good luck studying!!
