Help about my future

Specialties CRNA

Published

I was hoping if any of y'all could help me. I was accepted to both TWU and UTA for nursing and I didn't know anything about either school. I am hoping to do CRNA after school and didn't know where to start. I didn't which school would look better on my applications or even if there is a better nursing school in the metroplex that I should attend. If anyone knows information about either of these schools I would love for some help. Thanks!

Susan

what looks good on your application is that you are an RN with some experience in critical care. I would try to get my hands on an application for CRNA school to see what they require.

I have heard RAVE reviews about UTA's BSN program. I have heard that they have 1 of the highest (if not the highest) pass rates for their BSN graduates. I am currently working on my ASN at DCCCD but I DO plan on doing RN to BSN at UTA. I have not heard a thing about TWU's nursing program...I have only heard information about their CRNA program.

By TWU, I am assuming you mean Texas Women's University, which has a very good BSN program. Texas Wesleyan University the other TWU in the area does not have a nursing program, only a nurse anesthesia program. TCU has both a nursing program and a nurse anesthesia program.

The BSN program at UTA is very good as well.

I think you could go to any of the programs...what counts is being an RN and Critical Care experience after you graduate with your BSN.
