Hello everyone
I was wondering if anyone knew of any nursing programs in the Chicago and suburban area that will accept students with prior criminal convictions. I've read a lot on this site about people becoming nurses with past convictions so I know it's possible. It seems that most of the schools if not all do background checks. So if anyone has had a similar experience or knows of anyone please give me some advice. Thanks

Its not only a problem with the school but with the state board. The Illinois Dept of Professional Regulation is who you need to contact. I'm sorry but we can't provide legal advice.
