Help with finding a psych evaluation approved by California BRN?

Hello, I was just wondering if there is anyone that can please help me! I am getting ready to submit my application to the board but Im almost certain that I will be on probation due to my criminal background with multiple DUI's all of which occurred more than 7 years ago. I wanted to be proactive and have a chemical dependency psych evaluation completed before I turn in everything to the California BRN. I checked a few places and they were well over $4000 for a psych evaluation. After reading a lot of the forums on this website I found that there were places that people were suggesting to go to for a reasonable and board approved psych evaluation, but never any mention of an actual place. Is there a website that the board has for board approved psych evaluations for when you are actually placed on probation as well? Please help!

I saw you're in California. Not sure what part but I know of an MD in Santa Barbara who's BON approved and charged me $400 to complete all the evaluations the Board asked for. I think the reason you're not getting an answer though is because, per the guidelines of this forum, we're not allowed to give out medical advice or referrals. Some people's posts have been erased in previous messages. If you're able to send me a message through here though I can shoot you their name.

The board can also provide you with a list but I don't know if they'll do so without you actually being on probation yet.

Thank you for the explanation. I see why I haven't seen an referrals directly. Thank you so much for helping me out and explaining things. I really appreciate it. I live in Los Angeles and used to live in Santa Barbara so getting out there would be no problem for me. I would really appreciate it if I can get the name of this board approved Dr. Thank you very much. My email address is: [email protected]
