Help with finding first RN job!

If anyone out there in the Pittsburgh, PA area that works at a hospital I need help getting hired on to UPMC ( any of their facilities ), AGH , St. Clair, or just anywhere were I can begin my nursing career. I have been applying for over 6 months now and nothing. I have even gone as fair as calling a floor to speak to the nurse manager but that hasn't gotten me anywhere. I need some suggestions! Also I guess this information would help I recently relocated here right after graduating nursing school. So I feel as though I don't know anyone to be able to get myself out there in the healthcare field. I am asking very nicely if anyone could please help me out I would be forever grateful and greatly appreciate it ! Thanks so much to whoever reads this !

Since the majority of the hospitals in this area (all the major systems anyway) use Internet based systems for HR, you need to make sure you are being smart with your application. Have you made sure your resume is as appropriate as you can make it? Are you customizing your cover letter for each position? Are you using key words from the position in your resume and cover letter? Make sure you are aware of any hiring fairs that a company might have. Open up your target area if you need to; sometimes you have to look in other areas than you may be familiar with.
