I am a 23 year old who left college two years ago because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I knew that I loved people and I've always wanted to be in a career that allowed me to care for others and meet their needs. I've been drawn to nursing before, but didn't seriously consider it. Considering getting certified as a CNA, paying off what's left of my previous student loans, and then going back to school to work towards an LPN or RN.
So, in order for all of that to happen, I need to find a course, and the only course I can find is at a very small rehab facility/nursing home near my house. I really don't want to work in a nursing home (although I'm fine with starting there and transitioning into a hospital somewhere down the line). I literally can only find the one class. How does one go about finding them? Are there hospitals that offer CNA courses?
Any advice is greatly appreciated, including any not directly related to my questions. I feel like this could be a great fit for me, but I have no idea what I'm doing! Many thanks!
