Help with creative way to teach fall prevention

Hi everyone,

For my community rotation, we have to do a teaching at our sites. My site is at a senior center. Im thinking of doing it on fall prevention. I want it to be creative and interactive. During my presentation, I was thinking of asking questions to keep their attention and giving away small prizes. One person suggested I should give away glow in the dark stickers that they can put at light switches (i think its awesome but i dont want them to think im treating them like children). Are these ideas good? And I was trying to come up with some props i can use during my teaching. Any ideas? The teaching will be pretty simple so I dont want them to be bored.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I have been searching for a list to provide to my CNA's to assist in fall prevention and I have found nothing. I am curious though about creating a reward system, I always thought that would be a good idea. We are a restraint free facility but we do have alarms, which they plan to get rid of soon. I have found that they can help prevent falls by anticipating the resident's needs. It is a practice I mainly see in "Old school CNA's" the younger gals often don't have this down pat yet.
