hi, i need help regarding my eligibility application for CA. i submitted my application sept of last year, and i was anxious to receive my eligiblity this april, and i did receive a letter from CaBON, but it said that i have to submit a nursing license from my country of origin(?). i was appalled, since i didnt take the local board from my country because i flew right away here in US after i graduated. please give me advise on what to do....

Did you submit a letter explaining why you didn't take local boards when you submitted your application? Also in what capacity are you in the US now? May be worth contacting them

yes, i did give them a letter explaining why i did not take the local board. right now, i am on a dependent visa (my husband is on a working visa), and we plan to stay here for good thats why i didnt bother to take the local board...

i plan to contact them regarding the matter, i just need some insights on this matter from experts like yourself. i appreciate your help very much.

I believe it is only recent that they have been asking for local license and if your application was in Sept then they shouldn't be asking especially is you submitted a letter at the same time. Things do change with requirements and BON's/BRN so definitely get in touch with them. Be aware unless your husband's visa allows you to work you may find problems going through AOS at the moment due to retrogression
