Bryan's oximeter alarms at 83% sat, his rr is 34, and iv bolus has infused. you ausculate no breath sounds from the scapula doen on the left. you percuss Bryan's lungs posteriorly and hear a dull thud to the scapula on the left and percuss resonant on the rt. what is th significance of your finding.
my answer: i believe bryan is suffering from fluid overload. he has fluid in his lungs. i would raise the head of the bed. administer O2 nc(which is already ordered for pt) and notify the doctor.
is there anything i need to add?
