HELP! ABSN in NYC

I'm honestly stuck, I have B's in all my science prereqs! I really want to do nursing like it's always been my dream and I don't know if I would be accepted. Like I don't know should I even bother applying. I want to apply to SUNY downstate's accelerated nursing program but I don't even know like are there any people who have been accepted with a GPA of 3.3 or like with B's in the science prereqs. Should I still apply? I wanted to apply to NYU ABSN but it's so expensive and I don't have that kind of money and it's just too much to pay back if I were to take out loans. I messed up during my first years of college and that is when I took these prereqs I really wish I worked harder to attain A's. Hunter college program I have B's in science courses but my prereq GPA is about a 3.5 do I have a chance and I know its competitive. I just want some hope!

    The only thing that is for sure is that if you don't apply you won't get in. You could try asking the admissions office, but they probably can't tell you for sure. If nursing is what you want to do, don't give up before you've applied! You may need to retake some prereqs to try for higher grades if you aren't able to get in initially, but if that's gets you to where you want to be, start taking steps to get there. If you are calling the admission office, ask them what their policy is on repeats (in terms of evaluating applications).

    Thank you so much for taking the time to respond! This helps a lot! I guess I'm being really pessimistic and should just keep trying and see what happens.
