Hello everyone. I am a registered nurse in India and Nepal. Its been one year I am here in Australia ( permanent resident visa status). After completing my English requirement I had applied for the nursing registration in Australia but its been 10 month but I am nor hearing anything about them. They keep saying that assessment is completed and waiting for the decision. I am really frustrated waiting about the same. So at the moment I am just thinking of applying the registration in Newzealand. Could you please suggest me if its good and do I need to practise there compulsorily after the registration.

Have a look at the Nursing council of NZ website for international nurses, they have a few criterias to pass.

It can be very frustrating waiting, but then it is a long time to register in many other countries as a Registered Nurse as well, NMC, American states nursing BONS. In the past Australia was very open with international nursing degrees and many assessments were reported to be completed within 6 weeks application to LOE, now the Australian nursing "Bon" AHPRA have now taken more time with overseas applications, with some nursing degrees being of suspect quality, and Australia has no national exam, it is only correct that every country takes time and finds that overseas nursing applicants nursing degree and education institution who taught the degree suitable qualification for a nurse in each country.
