Hello there! Im New!

Im a New Grad, as of this morning a new RN (I Passed :balloons: ) Whoo hoo.

I will likely be starting on the Med-Surg floor of my local hospital in a week. They do like a months worth of orientation. I actually asked to be put with the most organized, experienced RN they could find because I want to learn it.

The patient ratio is about 6-1. We do not hire LPNS for some reason at that facility, so its RN and CNA but I believe they have 1:12 ratio for the CNA.

My hope is either I will LOVE med-surg and stay for a bit, or I will keep gaining experieince to go to PACU where I did my preceptorship and loved it.

Any tips, old timers??:wavey:
