Hearing Aides

Hi! Any of you have issues with hearing aides? If it's not one thing with those little buggers it's another! First problem I always have is the battery. It doesn't seem to last all that long, does it? My client told me she was awoken by her hearing aide sounding like; "a doorbell ringing" which someone told her means it needs a new battery. So I changed the old one out and put in a brand new one last weekend. I came in to work a shift yesterday, Thursday, and she was saying that her battery was dead and if I could please put a new one in. So, that would mean the brand new battery I put in before only lasted for a week. There's got to be something we are doing wrong. I know they are tiny but really!

The second thing that always happens whenever I changed out a battery is it will make this buzzing sound after the "it's turned on and working chimes" that no matter what I do I can't get it to stop buzzing. My boss goes; "Well, I just turn it all the way down and it will stop." I'm like; "Well, duh. It stops cause you turned it down so we can't hear it!" (not out loud, though! lol). I just wondered if any of you had an tips for dealing with hearing aides. Thanks bunches!
