I was offered and accepted a position at another hospital, and plan to quit from HCA hospital where I work now. By any chance, does anyone know how many weeks in advance I have to let them know about my resignation? I've looked in all the paperwork they gave me on orientation, and it does not really say anything about it. Is 2 weeks notice good enough?
Thanks!

I would think 2 weeks is plenty of notice. I've not heard of a hospital wanting more than that.

Two weeks is typically the notice requested of non-exempt staff members. For exempt staff (including management), it's at least 4 weeks.
Your best bet is to check your hospital's policies on resignations or call the Human Resources department for clarification.
It's better (if at all possible) to leave on a good note without burning bridges!
Good luck in your new job!

You don't say which HCA hospital, but I'm guessing that you know they are a national chain, and they trade information back and forth. Especially, if you are in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, you need to know about Group One, which includes other hospitals besides the ones under HCA.
For the sake of your future employment, please be very careful to have everything in order when you leave.

It all depends on hospital policy. I have worked in two HCA facilities. One expected 2 weeks notice of resignation. The one where I work now requires 4 week notice for RN's. Yes, it can even vary between departments. Human resources should be able to give you best answer.
