Hello everyone!
I'am the US citizen graduated nursing school outside of the USA.In 1997 I applied for NCLEX-PN and failed the test. Now, I'd like to take NCLEX-RN. Do I have to go over all the procedures with CGNFS again (in 1997 was only Certification of Nursing Education for LGR) or there is any possibility to skip this? Thank you.

Depends on where you wish to work, whether or not that you will need to go thru the process again.
Also, need more information from you first. Please feel free to submit it in a pm if you do not want to post it here.
There are ways around things............
Thank you, Suzanne, for your reply)))
I work as a PTA(physical therapist assistant) in NY and will continue to work in NY.I applied fort the PN license (in 1997) in NY and now for RN in NYS.IS there is any difference???
You will need to submit the CVS via CGFNS to NY for licensure. You will need to start the process again, as records are only kept current by CGFNS for a period of two years.
There is no possiblilty of skipping the CVS, you do not need to take the CGFNS exam, but you will need the verification done.
Thank you very much, Suzanne.:thankya:
