Hang time for IV solutions

What is your facilities maximum allowed hang time for IV solutions. More specifically the stable solutions such as NS, LR, etc...

I am little in the literature other than the CDC recommendations, in which it has chosen not to make a recommendation. Help?

Ive worked at probably 12-15 hospitals now and all of them have the 24 hour rule. IVF's can hang for 24 hours.
