Well... There is finally hope for those of us in Central Texas who may have made a poor decision in our nursing past (not giving a two week notice in my case) which landed us on the Group One blackball list...
The company I worked for and didnt give the notice to turned 7 years old from my last date of employment today. I called Group1 and had them confirm that all derogatory comments against me were removed, and they indeed were. Any time an employer hits the 7 year mark with Group1, it works like a credit report: The negative information is removed and replaced with verbiage about no more information available due to length of time.
It gets better...
The following hospitals are no longer users of Group 1 here in DFW:
HCA Hospitals
Baylor (yes... even Baylor who basically founded the thing no longer uses it)
Cook Childrens
JPS
These hospitals DO still use Group One
Texas Health Resources
Children's Medical Center
Parkland
These lists were confirmed with the group1 employee on the phone. THERE IS HOPE!
