Hi. I just took the GRE and bombed it...I made 470 on Verbal and 470 on Quant with a total of 940. I only had time to answer 20 of the 28 quant question. I know I could've done better. I have a 3.89 gpa (bsn) with a 3.6 overall gpa. I have CCRN and over 5 yrs ICU experience( Trauma ICU, Transplant ICU, CCU, and CVICU pediatrics). Do you think I still have a chance of admission or do you think I should retake the GRE? Thanks....

absolutely.
I know several people who have gotten accepted with similar stats (including myselft) and not quite as good stats, without a problem. there are other variables however, your reference letters, the group of people who have applied (thier stats), how well you do in the interview ect.... it may also depends on what the gre requirement for you school is, I have seen those vary from not needing them to 900 min, and above.
anyways, I wouldnt retake it, but thats just my opinion, apply and see wht happens.

If you don't mind moving check out VCU...your gpa and ICU experience is well within the requirements and they accept gre scores >800 I believe. Hope this helps.
Thank you Tony. The school that I am applying to doesn't have a minimum score. They just want you to take it. I feel a little better now. Thanks for the advice/encouragement.

I would encourage you to talk to them. Even if they don't have a minimum requirement, that doesn't mean you'll be competitive enough against the other applicants. Find out what they're looking for and then decide whether to retake it.
Thank you all. I am going to look into it. Thanks for your advice!!
