HI! Out there!! Im a new LPN grad. Thinking about working 3rd shift. Im married with a son. It will help out as far as sitter issues, but I feel like I wont have much time for family and stuff. any night nurses out there tell all

IT is a rough one. I too do it for childcare issues. It is great for the fact that you are free all day anytime for Dr. appts, emergencies, school etc. BUT as far as family time...None. My husband watches my daughter at night then I come home and take care of her till he gets home from his day job then I go to bed before work. I dont have much time for him and it is very trying for our relationship. Like I said it is great for your son but your husband or sig. other may not be pleased. Good luck

it beats the 3 - 11 pm shift if you have kids... imo
