Graduate program at hospital

Hi! I've never posted in this forum before, so bare in there with me ;). Okay, I moved to Florida from another state, and well as a new grad in this area, I don't have many options to choose from since I don't know anybody, and I don't have any contacts in my new area. Anyways, it seems that the only way to find a job is to sign up for a residency program offered at the hospital in this area. However, the program is only six weeks long with a two year contract in the unit you end up being assigned to. The other option is a LTC (SNF/rehab/nursing home) facility. I don't know what to do. I have to make a decision as to where to start my career fast. I'm really scared about the idea of signing a contract with only 5 weeks of orientation, but a job in LTC is also hard. Any advice as what to choose? My nursing school friends landed on residency programs with 6 months of orientation and 3 years contract, and they're happy. I wish I could have an opportunity like that. Any recommendations?

Neither one Sallyrnrrt, I feel like they are both very short and two completely different environments. However, I have to make a decision and is stressing me out.
