Hello
I am here because I am looking for information that how can I do a grade appeals for my school?
This is my situation: At my first semester I failed a class (Health assessment) and the college allowed me to retake it; I came back next semester and I did skills, fundamental and health assessment. I was in Mental Health classes this term, when I did not reach the overall passing score 77.5 I got 75.96. I am trying to do a grade appeals I did have today a informal meeting with my Dean and she told me that I don't have evidence to prove it. during this term, they suggested some book to do practices question ( I studied how the questions were formulate and then to be able to answer). They said that it will help me to understanding how question is in Mental health. I do remember some question and what they said it was there. I do remember other question wrongly formulate that can lead to answer differently. Other question was suppose to be all of apply question but was not have the word "all of apply". I would like to know if I can proceed with my appeal or not.
This will be my last chance to continue into my program.
thank you in advance.

I don't understand what you are trying to appeal. Are you appealing a grade because you didn't understand the format of the questions? If that is your basis, then you will not succeed unless the entire class did poorly on the tests. The time to appeal individual questions on a test would have been immediately after the test. You would have to defend your answer by showing that the correct answer on the test was different than your textbook and you chose your answer based on the textbook. Since you are 1.5% below passing, appealing that many questions successfully is very unlikely. What is your expectation? Do you want them to automatically give you a passing grade? How would that be fair to other students that also failed the class, do they automatically pass also?
If you are appealing to retake the class, then you need a hardship circumstance that prevented you from being successful. Examples of hardships would be severely ill during the semester in which you missed numerous days of class; death of a spouse, sibling, parent; house fire in which you were homeless. All of those would have been well known to the school and your appeal to retake the class would be successful. Not understanding the questions is not an appealable circumstance.
