Hello Molly how was your Teas score??

I don't know why I thought summers were off. Lol.!!! So there aren't any breaks with the exception of holidays. I wish you all the best!!

Keep it moving is itpossible to buy books from a earlier edition as opposed to the current. I'm wondering if money could be saved by doing this and if it is allowed. Thanks for any feedback!!

Nurse2b, I finally got in on my second try with a 3.33 and an 80 on TEAS. But the first time I applied I had about a 2.8 and did not get in. So I agree that GPC definitely looks more at GPA. There were people with lower TEAS than myself with highter GPA's that got in. I think it would be difficult to get in with a GPA below a 3.0. Good luck to you!

Wow! 80 on Teas!!! That's awesome!! Well, I got the letter from Ms. Creel saying that I need to take the Teas before applying. Soooooo....I'm playing to take it at Mercer in July. So..... the studying begins!!!!

Once you're in A&P II you can apply and then sit for TEAS... That's what I did...I'm starting nursing this August. Good luck!

Hi nursetob yes u can buy the earlier edition text books and be just fine. I know a few that did that. As far as the summer we(the bridge) had no choice, we have to do the summer but we are merging with 3 semester traditional track students who have the option of going through the summer to graduate in December of this year. So some traditional track students choose to do that. I'm selling a like new fundamentals book and test taking stratgies book. I will post it in the icollege student forum so my contact info is available. Also don't buy a drug book if you have a iPhone, droid etc... type phone. The school has a free app (nurse central) with tones if stuff in it like: Davis's drug book, lab book, care plan book. HTH:-)

I'm not so sure about your GPA being the focus for GPC. My GPA is only a 3.37 and my TEAS an 86. Believe me no one was more SHOCKED than me when I recieved my acceptance in April. Who knows what they want, I'm just thankful they chose us! ;-)

Bearcat, me too - I was in the 3.3 range, and did not think it would be good enough, so I think I was close!! Congratulations and good luck in the fall! I am getting excited but nervous too.

3 times - thank you for all of the info, I really appreciate it. So when you are at the school what hours are your classes - you said 9 am, so is it all day or a few hours? How many days a week are you actually at the school. What facility were you at for clinicals? Sorry for all the questions - I promise I wont ask any more!! I wish they would send us info about what to expect for the schedule. Honestly, they are not very friendly over there which is making me nervous! Hopefully the instructors are not like that.....

Mg100 they always seem to do things at the last minute. We didn't even know our schedule for the summer until abt 3 weeks ago. If I where you I would keep my schedule open bc there's always something in addition to class time and clinical time you have to do like: check offs, practice for check offs, simulation lab, ATI testing etc...it's alot and they should get better about telling students things in advance bc they have family and responsibilities they will have to work around. Just my 2 cents.
