Good States for a RN

Published

Hello I'm currently residing in GA. Born and raised basically. I was wondering where is a good state to move too? I want to give my kids some diversity with different cultures. I plan on moving after a year of me receiving my RN license.

Oh, the classic 'here's no information about me, but please help me make a major life decision'. So fun.

1. What will you be able to spend monthly on rent/bills?

2. Would you be okay living in snow half the year?

3. Do you need an urban/suburban/rural area?

4. How old are your kids? Do you need to live somewhere with excellent public schools or do you/will you send them to private or parochial schools? If private schools, what's your budget for their schooling?

5. Any other must-haves? absolute hates?

I can't suggest you get a cabin in the woods in the Rocky Mountains if you'd rather be on a beach in Miami. People can post and say 'this area is great' but what's great for one person can be an absolute nightmare for another.

California! Nurses can make as much as 80$ an hour near the SF area!!

I posted this question for an general idea. I just wanted a starting point to do my research afterwards. Thank you for your input.

I have thought about moving to CA. Thank you.
