I currently work in Admissions at a subacute facility and am in the pre-nursing program at a local college. I would like to do whatever I can now to help me in the future nursing classes - Would working either as a unit clerk or a patient care aide be worth the experience (and the pay cut?). I am considering applying for a job in the hospital if it would help me out in clinicals! What do you all suggest??

It would be nice to be a CNA; sometimes though, instead of "helping" you pick up "bad habits".
Follow your heart and if you will suffer greatly or get very stressed from the paycut, stay right where you are. If it is a positive environment for you they will understand what your needs are and my work around your newly demanding schedule and study needs.
Good luck to you!
