only new to this site & haven't really got used to it yet

Hi there miss gaelic. im a kiwi RN that has spent the last 2 years working round Oz. its a huge country, you got no idea 'til you get yourself there. i bought myself a car and drove around up, down through and over... though once you have some experience, you can fly all over the country on all kinds of assignments/contracts for like anything from one or two weeks or more at a time... but i prefered having my own wheels... the thing you need to do first is get some post grad experience then the world literally is your oyster. Right now Im working in China, but about to head back to Oz, for some work on the south east coast a few hours out of sydney. Last year I worked in Sydney and loved it... before that I worked in western Australia, which is huge... theres loads of work all over Oz ...but I also have offers now for Canada, Thailand, more work in China and ofcourse the UK. You asked about money... well you can earn a good amount in Oz, and the benefits can be good... though you will find that the best benefits are where the need is greatest and fewer nurses want to work... the demand as in all places round the world outstrips the supply... if you are prepared to work in the 'outback' or small towns, then you can earn a bomb, but sydney will see you spend hard... listen if you want to know more then please drop me a line... i'd be happy to give you some more pointers... i met loads of irish and pommie nurses in my travels and enjoyed many a good screams... ;)
