Hi everyone.
Probably I´ll start to work in a CCU in a few months, and I appreciate if anyone could suggest me a good book focused in CCU.
Thanks!

Marino's The ICU Book, 5th Edition. I'm a new graduate in ICU, and it explains a lot of principles and treatments that pertain to critical patients, especially respiratory. I think the book is written for medical students/interns, but the information is not overwhelming. It also highlights quite well the different pieces of hemodynamics and what their respective changes mean, and this is gold if you are going to be working with hearts (ACB/ACBG, post-STEMI, Cardiac Caths, etc..).
Thanks ^^

You can get lots of old editions used for cheap on Amazon.
clinical anesthesia by Morgan, mikhail is really good. Covers lots of Icu info even though it's an anesthesia text

I have found these two books informative and a great reading resource:
Handbook of Hemodynamic Monitoring by Darovic Second Edition (2004 but still good!)
Cardiac Surgery Essentials for Critical Care Nursing Second Edition by Hardin and Kaplow (2016)
My my auditory and visual learning of concepts I really like YouTube Med Cram

I second the vote for Cardiac Surgery Essentials for Critical Care Nursing/ Hardin and Kaplow. This is a great book. I just got it off amazon. Just make sure you are getting the second edition.
Also a great book is AACN Essentials of Critical Care Nursing. There is even an index including advanced ECG's and advanced cardiovascular concepts. This book is THE BEST book I've come across for home study. I also purchased it on Amazon. Make sure you are receiving the THIRD EDITION.
Lastly for a quick reference guide you can carry in your pocket: Fast Facts for Critical Care by Kathy White published in 2016. Also available on Amazon. This little book has everything condensed into graphs, charts and pictures for fast reference on the job. It is divided into sections with tabs for each. Such as Hemo, CV, Stat Meds, Drip Titrations, Pacing, vent adjustments Critical Labs and much more. It's a pricey little ring bound book but worth every penny. It's like my go to cheat sheet. You can also purchase an add on section for cardiology. My only complaint was that the print is a bit small and the pages are thin. But I haven't found anything with this wonderful amount of knowledge all together in one compact book. I highly recommend all three of these books. They will cover all of the physiology and procedures you will encounter in CCU. Best wishes to youí ¾í´“
