Going back to school

Published

I have been stalking this site for a while now and thought I would finally say hello! I am currently working as a CMA and I love what I do, but I want to do more and I have always wanted to be a nurse. I have decided I want to go back to school but I am nervous. I am a newlywed and will depend on my husband a lot. I will have to quit my full time job and work part time. The change is what is making me nervous, but we have no kids and I think now is the best time. So hello and I would love to hear other people stories!

Specializes in ICU.

I am currently getting a divorce, have a child and decided to go back to school. Yes it's a little nerve wracking in the beginning but I am loving it. I started for my nursing degree 15 years ago and now am going back to finish the prereqs and hopefully get in the program next fall. Good Luck!!

Good for you! I work 40+ hours a week, taking my pre-req's (this is my first semester), have a dad who has Parkinsons, and I have a 13 1/2 month old daughter. Oh and the husband who could be like a 2nd kid haha. I just have to keep my eye on the prizes. 1. Giving my daughter a good role model to look up to. 2. Having a job that makes me feel rewarded.

I am starting my pre reqs this semester I start my first nursing class in November. I work full time as a CNA am married and have two daughters that are 2&3. I have managed to keep A's. If your will is strong enough you can make it work. It just takes dedication. :)
