Glendale GCC 2017 Winter/Spring

Hello!

I don't see any threads for GCC 2017 Winter and Spring semester yet. Who applied and what are you stats including TEAS? Did you get accepted?

Hi faymaa, I was thinking the same thing so thank you for starting this thread! :) I applied and got in, my TEAS was at 87.7%, and pre-req GPA was around 3.2...pretty sure as long as you make the Chancellor's Cut Score the rest is up to a lot of luck. Did you apply as well?

Hi!

I've been looking for a thread for Winter/Spring '17, glad you started it. I applied, got rejected, and was offered a permanent seat a week later for the weekend evening program! My TEAS score was 82% and I had to complete a remediation plan because I didn't make the chancellors cut score the first time. Did you apply?

Congrats on getting in! Did you get accepted into the standard schedule or weekend evening?

How exciting! I was hoping to meet some folks before getting started. Guess I'll be seeing you next week at orientation :) I cannot wait. I wonder when we'll be getting started

See you Wednesday! :)

Hey everyone! I've been hoping for this tread to meet some of my cohort ahead of time. I got accepted (TEAS = 76%, GPA 4.0) but mines didn't specify what schedule. I'm assuming I'll be starting the standard schedule? Also, I'm waiting on my finger print eligibility. Will I find out during orientation if it's completed? Thanks!

Hi d_beltran91 :cat:

I am currently in a similar situation as you were. I am a GCC student - received an 81% on TEAS but unfortunately am not meeting the chancellors cut score.

I am planing to apply for winter/spring 2018, but I already know I won't be accepted and will have to do remediation as well. My grades are not the best so my options for schools in which I can apply to are very limited so doing remediation at GCC may be my best and only option. I can't help but feel depressed and hopeless in this situation because I am beginning to doubt my acceptance :(

Can you please give me some insight on what the remediation plan includes and how long your wait, if any, until you were accepted?

Thank you in advance!

Hey rndb I know this post is old, but I was wondering about the remediation plan, what did you have to do? What kind of classes did you have to take?

Do you know how many students were chosen that did the remediation plan?
