Yes, the Air Force has a Nurse Corp.

Not sure about your back. Best advice is to see a medical recruiter and see if you can get a waiver. Sometimes they will give waivers for medical conditions but each situation is unique.

Oh, please dont let me change your mind on that. I'm just afraid that i'd be stuck on a ship and well.. I'm not the sea-heartiest of guys. I'm sure i'd adapt but i'd kind of like to stay on the ground

I was an active duty enlisted Marine from 1980-1988 as an avionics technician on F-4 Phantoms. Presently, active duty officer in the Army Nurse Corps.

The United States Marine Corps is not a Department of the Navy. Yes, the USMC falls under the Dept. of the Navy. However, the Marine Corps is a seperate entity with a seperate war time mission than the Navy. It is true a lot of joint operations exist with the Navy & Marines. Plus, the Marine Corps is provided health care via the Navy Medical Department. USMC ground troops will almost always be accompanied by a Navy Corpsman, which is equivalent to an Army Medic in the AMEDD. All Navy & Marine Bases have Navy medical facilities.

next....navy nurses don't just go on ship....i don't know how many times i have to say that or why people think we just go on ship. the navy has a wide variety of hospitals!

i was in the ncp, and it worked out very well for me. it helped me out a great deal while i was in school.

i would love to answer any other questions for you about navy nursing and the ncp program.

hi, i am looking into the navy NCP...i just can't find out much about it. i'm scheduled to talk to a recruiter in a couple of weeks, but i would like to know what to expect...if you could let me know how the process works and what i have to do if i get in ( ie boot camp, basic training etc...) that would be so helpful!!
