getting my examn approved

this has propably been asked a million times but i don't know the best an cheapest way to get my german nursing license (we don't have lpn's or rn's) transferred to the us so i can work . :balloons:i live in nc now and have my greencard and social sec number all i need is to work in my job ....

Your nursing license is not transferable to the US. You need to sit for the NCLEX exam in order to get a US license. Not sure what NC requirments are for initial licensure, if they require the CGFNS exam, you can go for initial licensure in another state and then endorse to there. But you will need to apply to a Board of Nursing for licensure as an RN, and once your credentials have been verified and accepted, you will be given permission to sit for the exam. Then you will register and pay the $200 fee at www.pearsonvue.com. I would not pay the fee until after you have permission to sit for the exam.
