Getting accepted

Just wondering how many times or how long it took some of you to get into a nursing program. I'm already finished with RN core and working on BSN till I get in. I'm on the second attempt. It's very depressing knowing you have done all you can do and now you have to wait, and wait. . . . :o

I was on the waiting list for my program for a year and a half. The time flew though because I was able to get all my other classes out of the way. Now I'm accepted and ready to start my clinicals in the fall.

Theres nothing to do but wait, but it will all be worth it in the end...:)

I took prereq's and such for 2 years and was applying to a BSN program, after not getting in after the first couple times. Decided to get my ADN, got accepted first time. And there is another private college in my area that has a contract with my school, for students wanting to from ADN- BSN/MSN. So after I get my RN next year, am going to do that. So it probably depends on the school. But definatly from the RN-BSN/MSN, keep applying! The particular college that I will go to get my MSN, its all online expcept your clinicals, so there is no waitng list. And I can get my MSN in under 3 years going part time. =) So, thats my goal. Wish the best of luck to you.....:)

I've been having the same struggle. I applied to 3 BSN programs this year and didn't get in:(

:uhoh3: I've spent the time finishing up my additional pre-reqs and next year I'm applying to all programs. Meanwhile, I'll have a bit of free time before I get into the intensity of a program. I know GPA is a big factor, but I kind it rididculous in some ways. For instance, I have a 3.4, while others have higher GPA's and didn't work full time while attending classes. The best I can say is hang in there! Stay determined, and do volunteer work if you can
