Gbmc

I am going to start my nursing program at ccbc catonsville in spring 2007. I was wandering if anybody has ever worked at GBMC before and would u recommend it or not. I know they have a residency program but i don't know anybody that has been through it before. I have already emailed the person in charge and planning to talk to her on the phone. I would be glad if anybody that has experience with them can give me an advice.

I've heard both good and bad things about GBMC. I guess it all depends on which department you work. I heard the E.R isn't great but a friend is doing an internship in the NICU and loves it.

Thanks, im actually interested in the ER more than any other departments. I will check with other hospitals also.

HATED their ER here as well.

GBMC is a beautiful facility though and it's pretty big.

I have experiences at a few hospitals now personally, work related, and clinical related.

St.Agnes- hated it- especially the M/S floor 5 North

Mercy- loved the surgical ward, loved the womens health center, despised the er

St. Joseph's- loved it- all of it

UMMC- it's got it's good parts and it's "eh" parts

Northwest- horrible ER, beautiful Ortho ward- small hospital but everyone was nice

I'd love to get an internship in the NICU as well. Can you ask your friend for more details about the program?
