Anyone else anxiously waiting for acceptance?

Anyone else anxiously waiting for acceptance?

Hello nurse2b kee,

When did you apply for the program? I am taking the HESI tomorrow so just wondering how long the waitlist is ?

Hello, I applied in early August.

Hello, I applied in early August.
early August 2017 is when I applied
Specializes in hospice, LTC, public health, occupational health.

I applied April 2014 and was placed in the Spring 2015 cohort that started that January. I graduated December 2015. Most of my classmates seemed to have the same timeline as me.

If you guys applied in August 2017 and still haven't started, I'm wondering if the number of applicants has gone way up, because that's a longer wait than most people I knew anything about who went through that program.

(Assuming you mean Gateway CC in Phoenix.)

Yes Gateway in Phoenix is the program I'm talking about. I just received my continued interest email on Monday they will be sending out acceptance emails starting in October. The wait is 1-1 1/2 years per the email.

I applied July 2018 and got the same continued interest email. I was really hoping to start January 2019 since the advisor told me there was a 6month to a year wait list when I turned my application in. But now I'm thinking I won't start until 2020 if you had to wait this long. Such a bummer!

That's crazy. The advisor's should say a year or longer. I was told in May it was 9-12 months for the waitlist. However, I work with a RN who was on the RN waitlist. She was planning for 2yrs and only waited 5 months. So, I'm not sure how they are making the deciding factor on who is next...

That's interesting. Well if that's the case hopefully I can start some time in 2019 as I initially assumed based on a 6-12month waiting list. I wonder if Hesi scores play a factor in placement? Have you heard of such a thing? Well for sure you should be placed. That's exciting!!

Placement on the list and acceptance to actually begin are two different things. High Hesi scores are not always the case to bypass the long wait .. Anyways good luck to you. The wait will be worth it the end.

Thank you! Good luck to you also once you start!!

I got an email stating they need my preference for Spring 2019 for the LPN program. Hopefully I am going to get the confirmation email soon saying if I will be in the AM or the evening program.
